Life Coach David Bonham-Carter

David Bonham-Carter, is an experienced life coach and self-help author who writes specialist coaching guides to overcoming common problems, incorporating CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) techniques which have been proven by research to be effective.

David has worked successfully as a life coach for several years, providing support, ideas and assistance across most areas of significant life change, including career, life balance and relationships, as well as support with personal issues such as self-esteem, assertiveness, stress, anxiety & dealing with negative thoughts or managing dificult emotions, such as jealousy.

In 2012 David's book on Introducing Self-Esteem: A Practical Guide was published by Icon Books and is on sale around the world. His follow-up book Introducing Assertiveness: A Practical Guide was then published by Icon Books in 2013.

Early Career

David's professional background immediately prior to becoming a life coach was as a qualified social worker. He worked for many years helping people through various emotional and practical difficulties. He has a Masters Degree in social work from the University of Kent which he passed with distinction as well as a Masters Degree in Philosophy.

David has helped numerous people to make important changes through life coaching sessions and through the dissemination of practical coaching and cognitive behavioural therapy techniques via his life coaching books and ebooks.

In his career as a social worker David learned and used at first hand a number of theoretical models for helping people making changes which are listed below and which became an invaluable asset for him in developing his life coaching business and gave him a grounding in relevant professional skills and techniques which few life coaches can rival. His professional social work experience in working with people at the hard end of life's struggles as well as facilitating change in people consumed by addictive behaviour provided him with a wealth of experience and understanding in the difficulties which people can face and overcome. He also gained insight into the most effective ways of helping people to deal with personal and practical problems in life and when faced with the most extreme circumstances.
